Introduction

On-the-job training or OJT is one method by which students are given a chance to apply the theories and computations that they have learned from school. It also helps the students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in an actual l work setting.

Colleges and universities require their students to undergo such training within a specific number of hours as part of the curriculum. For the students, an OJT or internship program provides opportunities to go through the actual methodologies of a specific job using the real tool equipment documents. In effect, the workplace becomes a development venue for a student trainee to learn more about his chosen field and practice what he has learned from the academy.

On the other hand, an effective OJT program also benefits the comp that's who that accepts trainees. First OJT or intern provides additional manpower for a lesser labor cost than a regular employee. Most are of tare all eager to learn the ropes so chances are high that they will cooperate. Employers can use this internship strategy as a method does in recruiting new employees.

Since the trainer or the supervisor can follow the trainees’ progress, he can gauge based on performance, behavioral attitude if the trainee will make a good recruit after the completion of his internship. OJT's can bring fresh ideas into the organization.

While training the interns, employers are also teaching their employees to

the process of guiding the trainees stretches their patience, developing teaching skills makes them more sensitive to the mindset of the younger generation. The course of supervision also teaches them how to share what they know and be receptive to questions.

Hence, the internship also becomes an avenue in training for future managers of the company. Accommodating on-the-job trainees can truly be beneficial not only to the trainees but also to the companies that provide opportunities for this type of learning. There is wisdom in the front lines. Such training can be an investment that will be valuable to the company later on. This is also why trainees should take their internship seriously as it can become a powerful tool and possibly even a source of recommendation when they take that big lift from being students to career professionals.

My In Abritti Media was to work with a senior who used to work there from starting phase in first few days but in later I have work alone, in some case if I did not solve the problem the senior expert guided me. First few days I get bored because I have to reach the office at 12 and the session ends at 4 because of the busy schedule of my seniors.

I hardly worked there at my research and got to know some of a few things in web development there with the senior web developer.

What I learned there was 90 percent of my research over different websites and Books. And after completing Months I left lace with a bad experience.

Dream IT Solution

My Role at Dream IT Pvt. Ltd was to work with a senior who used to work there from starting phase in the first few days, they were no other than but my friends who join that company earlier.

The main job there was to install CCTV for a few days then I start doing printer setup, router setup, Lan File sharing setup, and hardware-software troubleshooting.

The company had AMC with many organizations in Kathmandu so, my next job was to visit them when there arises a problem.

At the End of OJT time, I was offered a job, because I used to work there with sincerity and honestly. They were happy with my skills and my working technique.

Overview of internship experience

During my working time at Abritti Media, was not so good experience for me, I have to go there in irregularly time and spend time doing nothing.

After someday, I got enrolled in MY online classes and learned from there and go and some help the in-office with problems problem.

I got to know about photoshop design and start learning them. I learned about different kinds of edits in photoshop with graphic designs.

At the time I start Blogger and developed my blogging site at blogger and start writing blogs over there.

My experience at Abritti Media was not so good but wasn’t worst though.

Dream IT Solution

After having a problem, I rolled into Dream IT Solution, Here I had the best experience. I learned about different devices there.

I learned about the printer, Desktop, and Laptop parts assembling and replacement not only that I also learned about networking and how intranet works inside the organization.

Talking about CCTV, I have the best experience on that so as result I can now reset, troubleshoot, design map location, and can set up CCTV on any place.

Working on big companies like Continental, OTIS, YOHO TV, different Finance, Hotels, and restaurants have made me realize the actual customer needs and way to behave with a customer. I have learned so many things after being a part of Dream IT Solution and I want to thank them.

Recommendation

Through My half-year experience and observation during my OJT program, I have observed the following to be recommended.

To College:

The OJT program is a great experience for the students. It allows us to make ourselves prepared to go into the working field. Since the technological world is vast and everchanging, I found the precious OJT program is short and I would recommend it to be more than usual. And the continuous effort of the college authorities is crucial in fostering the beforehand for the young and enthusiastic engineers in making.

The concern of the institutions and the organizations on such programs are less receptive. Therefore, I find it is very essential for the concerned college authorities to shower the rights or responsibilities for the probable and abled organizations to take this program as an opportunity to shape the younger minds of today for the better and brighter technocrats of tomorrow.

To Organization:

The concerned immediate supervisor remains busy and at some points, I found we are less guided and concerned. It is fearful and difficult to handle the instruments and machines without the experience and the proper guidance. Thus, I feel they have to be more receptive to the quest of the trainees.

The nature of the work needed to be handled by the trainee is fluctuating, as we were not designated to a particular work but as per the availability of the task. Thus, I found it was difficult to grabs the concept of any properly and confidently.

The technician at the center(s) needs to be frequently trained as they remain with the old trains and are faces difficulties in handling the new instruments. the whole OJT program has been a good experience for me. I was able to see and relate the signals of my classroom knowledge with how things go in practicality. I hope and find it recommendable to the upcoming Friends.

Ongoing consideration

Accomplishing this project gave us immense knowledge and idea about the development and designing skills as well as the present condition of maintenance services and professionals. Different research was conducted to initiate the project and identifying the problems in delivering maintenance service gave the idea to tackle these problems. We hope our effort can provide steps that would help to perform efficient maintenance service and employment opportunities by providing platforms and information to users.

“This is that the age of computers”, while this may need been one among the foremost used sentence of the age, it couldn’t be truer. As I used to be sitting thereon room trying to return up with a different solution for various problems, I met different types of individuals from different sectors of labor, and this made me realize how important the computer is in our life lately. And now that I’ve witnessed the speed at which the pc sector is progressing, I cannot return to believing that one can live his life without counting on technology.

And this process showed me different sectors of labor and their hardships and pleasures, so those that are willing to require the initial steps are suggested to try the OJT.
